　　Taiwanese have to wonder what Beijing might try if Ma got his way and effectively merged the two economies。 Trade pacts with China can involve political control as much as economics： Just as oil gives Russia undue influence over Ukraine， China's trade brawn gives it vast leverage from Indonesia to Nigeria。 If it's displeased by events in Taipei， Xi could just cut off the flow of business to Taiwan。

　　Already racked by geopolitical crises from Ukraine to North Korea， the world doesn't need a new cold war between China and Taiwan。 But Ma's miscalculation provides a chance for him to start fresh。 He should try harder to sell his vision for expanding the 2010 Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement that led to this controversial services deal。 Where differences emerge， he should tweak the pact accordingly。 In case Ma forgot， that's how democracy works。

　　One minor thing： China can't "lose" Taiwan， because she never owns it。 One can't be losing something he never owns。

　　Before Japanese took over Taiwan in 1895， Taiwan was part of the Qing dynasty。 But Qing is NOT CHINA。 In fact， Qing is an external force that took over China， slaved and killed huge number of Chinese。 The language currently populated as "Chinese"， Mandarin， is in fact the formal language of Qing's nation， which is Man， steming from northern outskirt of China。

　　That is， not only Chinese were butchered and slaved by Qing in large number， the original China language is kicked out of the platform and replaced with Qing's own Mandarin。

　　But nowadays Chinese shamelessly treated their ruthless ruler as their ancestor。 Typical 數典忘祖(forget who your ancestor was)、認賊作父(treat barbarian like father)。Totally shaameless。

　　问题在于：中国并没有“失去”过台湾，因为中国从来就没有拥有过台湾。本来就不属于她的东西，她也就谈不上拥有了。

　　1895年日本占领台湾的时候，台湾的确属于清王朝的一部分。但清王朝不是中国，事实上，对于今天的中国来说清王朝是一个外部势力。这个外部势力奴役和屠杀了大量的中国人。相对于当时的中国来说清王朝只是中国北方的一个少数民族而已。

　　也就是说，不仅大多数中国人被清王朝屠杀和奴役，连当时的中国话都被踢出了语言交流平台，被换成属于清王朝的Mandarin。(评论太多，不想绕来绕去的翻译，精力不够。想弄清楚这个逻辑混乱的傲娇小受在说什么就自己去wiki一下这个几个词：Mandarin，Chinese，China。。。)

　　但如今这些无耻的中国人却把清王朝认为是中国的祖宗了，这就是典型的数典忘祖、认贼作父，我真替中国人感到羞愧。
